The promising 16-year-old defender is set to join Liverpool’s Academy, marking an exciting addition to the youth setup.
Romano announced the news on his X account, stating: “Liverpool have completed a deal for 16-year-old talent Alvin Ayman to join the Academy from Wolves. Five-year deal, £2m compensation fee, and the Premier League’s five-step approval process now completed.”
While Liverpool is yet to bolster their first team, the acquisition of Ayman suggests that the club is at least moving forward with some transfer business. Meanwhile, Premier League rivals like Manchester United and Chelsea have spent heavily on new signings this summer.
Despite the ongoing transfer activity, Liverpool manager Arne Slot has expressed confidence in his current squad, stating that he trusts his players. However, it’s clear that new additions are still urgently needed at Anfield, particularly in defense and midfield.
