Liverpool has officially introduced Arne Slot as their new head coach, with the Dutchman confirming the backroom staff that will support him in his debut season at Anfield.
The 45-year-old joins Liverpool from Feyenoord, where he spent the past three years. During his tenure with the Rotterdam club, Slot won the Eredivisie title and the KNVB Cup, achievements that have endeared him to Feyenoord fans.
Slot now faces the biggest challenge of his career as he takes the reins at Liverpool from the 2024/25 season onward. Succeeding Jurgen Klopp, who won every major trophy during his time at the club, makes Slot’s task even more formidable.
On Wednesday, Liverpool officially unveiled Slot as their new head coach. The 45-year-old also revealed the backroom team that will assist him in his first Premier League season.

Joining Slot at Liverpool as his assistant will be Sipke Hulshoff, who has worked with Slot at Feyenoord since 2022. The 49-year-old previously served as Ronald Koeman’s assistant with the Netherlands national team before stepping down earlier this year.
Speaking to Liverpool.com about Hulshoff, Slot said: “I bring in Sipke Hulshoff, who’s been my assistant for a few years now at Feyenoord. I worked with him long ago at Cambuur Leeuwarden as well. He was the assistant to Ronald Koeman with the Dutch national team, but he is joining me now from the start. He’s a bit older than me, but because we have worked together for such a long time, we know exactly what we want in terms of game model and playing style – and that helps.”
In addition to Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters will take on the role of lead physical performance coach at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Fabian Otte will move to Merseyside as head of first-team goalkeeper coaching, joining from the USA national team after their participation in this summer’s Copa America.
These appointments mark the beginning of a new era at Anfield, set to commence in August, as Slot and his team aim to build on Liverpool’s storied legacy.
