Leicester City is reportedly eyeing a move for Liverpool’s young talent, Ben Doak, amid uncertainty about his future at Anfield.
Following an impressive season in the Championship, Enzo Maresca led the Foxes back to the Premier League, securing a first-place finish. However, the promotion journey was more challenging than anticipated.
Adding to the complexity, Maresca has departed to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea, leaving Leicester with the daunting task of maintaining their Premier League status under new management. The Foxes also suffered a significant blow with the departure of key midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea. Dewsbury-Hall, a vital player, contributed 14 goals and 15 assists last season.
Now, Steve Cooper is tasked with filling the gap left by Dewsbury-Hall’s exit. According to the Daily Mail, Leicester is interested in Liverpool’s 18-year-old winger, Doak, who is currently on the fringes of Arne Slot’s squad. Doak plans to discuss his future with Liverpool’s management and sporting director after their pre-season tour.
Liverpool recently played Real Betis and is set to face Arsenal next Thursday, followed by a match against their Premier League rivals, Manchester United, three days later.
