Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and PSG are all vying for the signature of Juventus center-back Dean Huijsen, as reported by the Italian sports daily, TuttoSport. Huijsen, a 19-year-old Netherlands-born Spanish youth international, was omitted from Juventus’s pre-season roster, sparking speculation about his future.
Having spent the 2023-24 season on loan at AS Roma, where he made 26 appearances, Huijsen has caught the eye of several top clubs. According to Sport Italia, Juventus has excluded him from their pre-season squad, hinting at a potential transfer.
PSG has reportedly reached an agreement with Huijsen until 2029, although their €20 million offer falls short of Juventus’s €30 million valuation. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is actively pursuing a deal for the young defender, with Liverpool also showing strong interest.
The Merseyside club is entering a new chapter under Arne Slot, following the departure of long-time manager Jurgen Klopp. With Joel Matip having left and Virgil van Dijk nearing his mid-30s, Liverpool is keen on bolstering their defence. A promising talent like Huijsen could be pivotal for the Reds, both immediately and in the long term.
Other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United, Bayer Leverkusen, VFB Stuttgart, and RB Leipzig, are also monitoring Huijsen’s situation, making the race for his signature increasingly competitive.
