Liverpool reveal unchanged lineup against Forest, Chiesa continues to miss out.

After the international break, the Premier League returns with Liverpool taking on Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Arne Slot, sticking with his tried-and-tested lineup, continues to emphasize consistency in his selections.

During the break, 19 Liverpool first-team players represented their countries, with 10 of them playing the full available minutes. Now, with a packed schedule of seven games in 22 days, Slot faces the challenge of managing his squad efficiently, starting with this fixture against Forest.

Alisson was always expected to start between the posts, and ahead of him, the defensive quartet consists of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Andy Robertson.

In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch aims to build on his strong start to the season, partnering with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai. Up front, Mohamed Salah looks to score in his fourth consecutive match, supported by Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

With Harvey Elliott the only player unavailable due to injury, Slot had some key decisions to make regarding his bench. Curtis Jones gets the nod, but Federico Chiesa misses out.

Liverpool starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Salah, Diaz, Jota

Substitutes: Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, Bradley, Tsimikas, Endo, Jones, Gakpo, Nunez

Match Stats:

Slot could become the first Liverpool manager to win his first four league matches without conceding a goal.

A clean sheet in this game would equal Liverpool’s record of four consecutive shutouts to start a league campaign, previously set in 2005/06.

Mohamed Salah is aiming to become the first Liverpool player in history to score in the first four league matches under a new manager.

If Salah scores, he will also match Daniel Sturridge’s 2013 feat of netting in the first four league games of a season.
