Hungary’s performance in the first half was lackluster, allowing the Swiss to establish a 2-0 lead by halftime.
In the second half, Hungary showed more determination and managed to pull a goal back in the 66th minute. Barnabas Varga capitalized on a beautiful cross from Szoboszlai, heading the ball into the net with a diving effort.
Despite their efforts, Hungary couldn’t mount a full comeback, as Switzerland sealed the victory with a late third goal.
