Fabio Carvalho has agreed to a transfer from Liverpool to Brentford in a deal that could be worth up to £27.5 million, including potential add-ons. The initial report, which surfaced in the Portuguese outlet A Bola, has been corroborated by Times journalist Paul Joyce.
Joyce further revealed that Liverpool has secured a 17.5 percent sell-on clause, which would come into effect if Brentford sells Carvalho in the future for a profit.
Carvalho originally joined Liverpool from Fulham in 2022 for a fee of £7 million. At that time, Fulham included a clause entitling them to 20 per cent of any profit Liverpool makes on a future sale exceeding £5 million. Therefore, if Liverpool receives the full £27.5 million for Carvalho, Fulham stands to earn £3.1 million from the transfer.
