Liverpool’s pre-season entered its third day on Sunday, with a 30-man squad engaging in training sessions both outdoors and indoors, featuring numerous young talents.

The Reds were greeted by typical English weather—overcast and rainy—offering new manager Arne Slot a taste of what to expect during training at Merseyside.

After fitness tests on the first day, including the replacement of the lactate test, a larger group gathered for workouts at the AXA Training Centre.

Ten senior players participated, including Caoimhin Kelleher, Jarell Quansah, Conor Bradley, Kostas Tsimikas, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, and Fabio Carvalho. Luke Chambers returned following a loan spell, and left-back Calum Scanlon joined after recovering from an injury that prematurely ended his 2023/24 season.

With many first-team internationals absent, academy players filled the ranks. Notable participants included Jayden Danns, Lewis Koumas, Trey Nyoni, Amara Nallo, Kieran Morrison, and Dominic Corness. Tom Hill, who shone last pre-season before being sidelined by injury, also took part in the session.

Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo were absent but are expected back soon after being given extra leave following international duties. Slot was actively involved in the training session, focusing on ball work.

Liverpool still has nine senior players competing in the Euros or Copa America, with their return anticipated in early August.
