Sepp van den Berg Transfers to Brentford on a Permanent Deal”

Sepp van den Berg has officially completed a permanent transfer to Brentford, marking the end of his five-year tenure with Liverpool.

The Dutch defender initially joined the Reds from PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands back in 2019.

During his time at Liverpool, Van den Berg made four first-team appearances, all of which occurred during his debut season in 2019-20 under manager Jürgen Klopp. He was also part of the squad that secured the FIFA Club World Cup title in Qatar that same year.

Following his initial season, Van den Berg gained further experience through a series of loan spells. He spent time at Preston North End, where he had two separate stints, before moving on to Germany, where he played for Schalke 04 and, more recently, FSV Mainz 05.

This summer, Van den Berg returned to Liverpool for pre-season training under the guidance of new head coach Arne Slot. Despite featuring in the pre-season fixtures, it became clear that a permanent move was on the cards, and Van den Berg has now secured a transfer to Premier League side Brentford. He follows in the footsteps of Fabio Carvalho, another Liverpool player who recently made the switch to Brentford.

Liverpool expressed their gratitude for Van den Berg’s contributions to the club and extended their best wishes for his future career.
