Liverpool is bustling with anticipation as Anfield undergoes a dramatic transformation to host Taylor Swift’s trio of sold-out performances.

Approximately 150,000 Swifties are descending on the city as the globally renowned pop sensation gears up for her three-night stint at Anfield. This event marks a significant achievement for Liverpool and its football club, as Swift chose Merseyside as one of her UK stops on the expansive Eras Tour, which has captivated audiences worldwide.

Besides Liverpool, Swift’s UK performances are limited to London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.

With the concerts scheduled for June 13, 14, and 15, eager fans are already gathering outside the stadium, queuing for hours to purchase merchandise ahead of the shows. The first Liverpool concert also marks the 100th performance of the Eras Tour, sparking speculation about a possible special guest or event to commemorate the milestone.

Even those without tickets are joining in the festivities. Liverpool City Council has launched the Taylor Town Trail, featuring 11 art installations inspired by the various phases of her career, each representing a different album.

Drone footage by Mr Drone UK, reveals the extensive preparations at Anfield, with the stage, lighting, and sound setup well underway for Swift’s arrival.

For local residents and visitors, extensive road closures are in effect. Walton Breck Road, located behind the Kop, will be closed from 12 PM to 12 AM on June 13, 14, and 15. Additionally, Anfield Road remains shut due to ongoing expansion work at the Anfield Road End.

Among the attendees is expected to be Jurgen Klopp, whose wife Ulla secured tickets to one of the concerts. Klopp humorously shared during a staff Q&A in his final week at the club that he began singing ‘Shake It Off’ to her upon hearing the news. However, his attendance will be influenced by Germany’s Euro 2024 kickoff, meaning he won’t be present for the June 14 show.
