On their second stop of a three-city tour, Arne Slot’s team visited Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies, to watch a game against the New York Yankees.
The Liverpool squad was featured on the big screen while “You’ll Never Walk Alone” played over the PA system. Mohamed Salah, Harvey Elliott, Ben Doak, and Wataru Endo were among the players shown, suggesting the entire squad was present.
Caoimhin Kelleher waved at the camera, and Kostas Tsimikas captured the moment on his phone. The message “The Phillies welcome Liverpool Football Club” was displayed below them.

The Yankees have a historic rivalry with the Boston Red Sox, dating back to 1919 when the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. This deal led to an 86-year championship drought for the Red Sox, known as the “Curse of the Bambino,” while the Yankees won 27 World Series titles during that time.
Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who own both the Red Sox and Liverpool, bought the Red Sox in 2002. The Red Sox broke their championship drought in 2004 and have won three more titles since then, while the Yankees have only won once.
Liverpool previously played at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, and Yankee Stadium during their 2019 US tour.
