Virgil van Dijk, renowned as one of the world’s top footballers, has now teamed up with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in a new advertisement for their Gin & Juice drink.
Since his £75 million transfer from Southampton to Liverpool in 2018, van Dijk has established himself as one of the greatest centre-backs in football history. His rising fame has made him a sought-after figure for brand endorsements, including this summer’s collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre for Gin & Juice.
Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop, a line of gin-based cocktail cans, was introduced in the US earlier this year. The name is inspired by Snoop Dogg’s classic hit from the album Doggystyle.
Earlier this summer, the 33-year-old was seen at the Gin & Juice launch party in London. At the event, van Dijk met with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, LeBron James, and Dre’s business partner Jimmy Iovine, both of whom are partners in Fenway Sports Group.
Van Dijk shared his excitement on Instagram after the event, saying, “When worlds collide! Good vibes, good people.”
Currently, van Dijk is enjoying the last days of his post-season break, spending quality time with his family after the Netherlands reached the semi-finals of the Euros. The Liverpool captain is set to rejoin his teammates for the final stages of pre-season training upon their return to Merseyside next week.
